For The Americans

As someone who's oblivious to must-knows and/or taboos in the US of A (including Alaska and Hawaii), how would you go about telling me what to expect if/when I travel to every state?

Ignore (or don't, if it's relevant to said must-knows) issues of expenses.

This is intended to fill me in everyone's unique/synonymous opinions or facts about the different culture of each state, and may help me prepare my travel once I get there someday. Be nice down there.
