Wales is a funny place

We can tell exactly where someone comes from by the way they speak. My sister says How do you know you come from Llanelli? It's everyone looks at you strange when you speak! Today in college I was seeking help from an IT technician in college and he comes from the same village I do. We compared words that are special. Like Taffis.

I live in Wales too in the South East my wife and I were born in different towns probably 20 or so miles apart but we have totally different accents and turns of phrase

It amazed me when I was living in the UK, the enormous number of different accents and dialects there were -like every valley seemed to have a slightly (or not slightly) different one to the next one over.
