When you go on a road trip..

I like to lay in the trunk and yell “help” to see how many times we can get pulled over by the cops and when they open the trunk jump out completely naked and start belting out my favorite Barry Manilow tunes.

Never a strong feeling either way, but now at this age I am more comfortable being the passenger than in the past.

I am reminded of when my late wife and I were in New Zealand and took a tour in a small airplane from Christchurch down tot he Milford Sound and back. The other couple with us was a vacationing airline pilot and his wife, who was a former stewardess. He was having anxiety attacks the entire way. I commented that I thought he would be comfortable flying, and he said "when I am at the controls". I pointed out that if something when wrong., this plane could glide to a landing whereas those he flew would fall like a rock.

Ok w sharing driving w my sons .. All 3 of us would rather drive every damn mile before letting my soon-to-be-ex behind the wheel.

Driver, although when we used to drive all night from Texas to Georgia, I would nap while my wife drove for a while.

I just hope I die like my grandfather, in my sleep, and not screaming like the passengers in his car.

Hubby insists on driving. Must be a man thing. 😅

I prefer a mix of both, but my wife refuses to drive the motorhome so I am the sole driver.
