when I retire I want to get a small class c motor home and tour the country

Yes, road trips are one of the things I've missed so much during the past year. For me, exploring the South is my greatest love. Hopefully before long we'll be back on the road!

Come visit the outer banks of NC. Gorgeous empty beaches

Pensacola Beach, Navarre Beach and Destin are excellent

Florida is hot in August.
And humid most of the year.

this sounds like a good idea. My wife and I have time--we could take an extended road trip if we want. I shall ask her.

I spent most of my life in Florida, practically lived at the beach, also lived in the mountains and it was breathtaking but now I live out in the countryside surrounded by creeks, woods and it's so peaceful. I have seen so many animals and birds and I love it.

I totally get that!

Try that Florida route, hit the cities and the space center.

Do it, give in to wanderlust

Then go for it. I travel between Arizona and California often. No Issues.

@Jill1990 sounds like you need to plan a weekend camping getaway. The best place for social distancing is in the great outdoors.

Broaden your out look on life,explore outside of America,other countries n continents,other cultures other foods,explore the histories of millennium and when you have walked n flown the globe then return to your home,

you still can we are just supposed to stay away from folks. Unless you both have been in quarantine long enough then you can get to gether.
