I want to get away. [I Need a Road Trip]

@river52 no, but it’s always been a dream. Seems more urgent now.

@Jill1990 it does seem more urgent. Have you ever looked at a map....figured out how long you could get away....thought about how far you could drive in that time frame...took a compass and made a circle out from where you live.......and then pick a spot and just go

@river52 no, but I look at places I could get to in a day. I love to camp and we have a small travel trailer so we dream a lot

@Jill1990 awesome......you can have the best time just getting away from the house....no chores, neighbors, things jumping out at you that you feel you must take care of...use that trailer...creat good times and memories.

@river52 Hope to use it a lot this fall. We’re both looking at maps and camping guides. I want to see the National Forest and Parks

@Jill1990 they are the best for sure....can be crowded ...are you east or west coast?

@river52 East - a little more stuff out west. We are planning a trip to Nantahala National Forest first. It’s in our home state of North Carolina.

@Jill1990 We have been to your State.....but not Nantahala National Forest..beautiful areas and great history

@river52 I have never been myself but I love the mountains and rivers and it has both. Maybe we can do some canoeing.

@Jill1990 google it.....I'm sure you can rent a canoe in places..yeah, being on the water is great fun too

@river52 There are a lot of outfitters there - we have checked on that, but neither of us is particularly good with a canoe and I don’t know about the rapids
