How "local" is "local"?
I have been abroad probably around twenty times over the years, but although my holidays (our name for them) now are in my own country they are hardly "local", as some of my friends I meet live a good 300 miles away.

@Casheyane in large countries such as Canada, USA and Australia, would define the term "local" rather differently.
I have driven to Cornwall. I have also driven to Scotland. Both are around 7 hours away. Although I haven't left the country, I wouldn't describe these destinations as local either.
