Well, so far, if I am very careful, I have enough to eat...but I confess that when I go to the food pantry every week and bring home a carload of food for my low income neighbors to share, I snag bread, or milk, or the exception to the rule...a healthy low sugar cookie. That fills in the gaps.
Twice now, I have seen young women at the food pantry shopping through the vegetables they put out on tables for us, sobbing. They are so ashamed and embarrassed...because never in their lives have they had to get help in order to eat each week, and they are horribly ashamed.
THIS month, I had to buy a new phone...so my $68 a month of mad money has been reduced to $59...and that means I have to be extremely selective. I had to skip buying Lysol Laundry Sanitizer this month, and might not be buying it again at all.
