Some airlines does this, is this discrimination or do you support it as the more you weigh, the more room you take up. The more fuel the plane will burn etc.
is this just common sense or is it way too unpopular.

What weight is considered "nominal"?
Those under that weight should then get a refund.

@Crazychick if they say that one 8s overweight then what is the limit? Nominal refers to the mean of a distribution. If pne exceeds that limit it must be at some value over the mean. Like one, two, or three sigma. So what is the nominal weight they want everyone to be at? What is the acceptable range? Those on the low end should get a discount.
