While my week in Egypt was filled with amazing historical sights I would never ever go again.

From the second we arrived my wife and I were harassed and occasionally successfully scammed by the locals. And seeing my wife be pushed and shoved by people trying to sell her tacky trinkets - it’s the closest I’ve come to punching a stranger in many years.

And if that wasn’t bad enough we both had varying degrees of food poisoning the entire time.

I’ll stick to the U.K. and Europe. I didnt save money for a year to be treated like a cash cow and disrespected for a week, and no amount of ancient temples is going to change my mind.

I was told not to eat veggies in Egypt bc they use human feces as fertilizer . But I did drink tea made w Nile River water and didn’t get sick .

@AthrillatheHunt that was brave of you 🤣😂maybe the water was processed and cleansed

@Moon3624 I was in a small boat and the water was scooped out of the river and boiled to make tea . This was in 1992.

@AthrillatheHunt I would never drink water directly from any river in the world
Because regardless of how clean it is there is always a chance of it being contaminated with bacteria and viruses
Let alone dirty ones like the Nile or seine river in paris
