While my week in Egypt was filled with amazing historical sights I would never ever go again.

From the second we arrived my wife and I were harassed and occasionally successfully scammed by the locals. And seeing my wife be pushed and shoved by people trying to sell her tacky trinkets - it’s the closest I’ve come to punching a stranger in many years.

And if that wasn’t bad enough we both had varying degrees of food poisoning the entire time.

I’ll stick to the U.K. and Europe. I didnt save money for a year to be treated like a cash cow and disrespected for a week, and no amount of ancient temples is going to change my mind.

I was in Tunisia for two weeks, many years ago, and people were extremely friendly. I avoided tourist spots and traveled on my own through the country. They were surprised to see an un-accompanied young woman in the street.

@AthrillatheHunt Thank you – I loved it. I just said to myself let's get rid of all those stereotypes, and I was right.
