300 miles from the Artic circle, while working on fishing boats in Alaska in the 80's.

Far north enough that you can sometimes see the Aurora Borealis.

Every time I'm up there, it's a surreal experience. Always something wonderous, and unexpected.
It was so cold one evening, watching stars, I caught what looked like tiny shards of glass shimmering around me.
They were facets of ice crystals, not snow, shimmering like a rainbow in the air.

Used to live in Alaska!!!! Land of the Midnight Sun! Beautiful!!

Fargo, North Dakota. Which I thought was blah. I would like to head up north more toward the eastern Minnesota/Wisconsin border though. Just preferably in the fall. 😄

sun never sets,
light appears only in the horizon,
temperatures cold but hearts so warm,
people sharing all they can give, and
a beautiful glow dances across the sky.

I will go further north some day, but will I make it past Resolute Bay

Where i was the sun didnt rise , Just a mild dusk for a few hours , I allways remember the planes climbing high enough to break into the sun and the noisy plane became dead quit as every one took in the sun .

To the Canadian border fishing the lakes of northern Minnesota. (But I had to check a map when another poster mentioned Seattle as I'd been there too)

Interestingly, it's Paris, France...which is farther North than any of the places that I've been in Canada.

Not sure which is more North, either Southern Canada or northern Germany.

Either Jasper in Canada or Dunnet Head in Scotland (most northerly point of UK), whichever is further north.
