Non Native English Speakers... what is a nice word or expression in your mother language that cant really be translated into english ?

Hello! I never met anyone German person here before.

Another word its the german "doch". There is no exactly English translation as far I now.
The closest translation is "though" or "anyway".

If someone ask you if you didnt do something and you want to answer, that its not right, because you did it, you answer "Doch, I did it!"

I'm originally Irish and barely speak the lingo (like most Irish people, sadly), but one word I do know that doesn't translate is [i]Seoinín[/i], which is an Irish person who tries to imitate British customs :P

"Cwtch" in Welsh - a hug or a place that makes a person feel comfortable and safe. It was used for the first time in a session of the Welsh assembly last month 🙂

You can translate "tja" with "Well...". At least its used in a similar way.

In the Netherlands, they say 'tja' as well, funny.
