Is a Kia better than a Toyota?

wildbill83 · 36-40, M
no, both are shit...
jackson55 · M
@JenKarl Buy what you can afford. All new cars are pretty good now. It's a very competitive car market. No one makes junk anymore. Not if you want to stay alive in the car market. A new Toyota or Honda are a good buy because of end of year sales. Hyundai's and Kia's are price leaders and generally alittle cheaper than Japanese cars. German cars are more expensive, even VW's. And generally more expensive to service.

@SW-User I don't agree with that. Many of the import brands are made here in the US and use US made components. Of the recent past Fiats had some quality and reliability issues and many dealers dropped the brand because of it.

VW did go to shit, since most US models are made in Mexico now... Mk4 Jetta's were the last descent vw's

Toyota is the best, don't listen to any of those other unknowledgeable people.

I have seen many with 300,000 and more.
@carsonfry Buy American.
carsonfry · 22-25, M
@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays Only buy American if you buy a new car every 50,000 miles. You want to buy a car that will last for 300,000 or 500,000, get a Toyota or a Honda.

You want a frog, buy American, or trade it out, it should be free.
@carsonfry What would Trump say?

Toyota builds the best car ever. They always have and they always will. I prefer a Honda, and they are good too, but you can never put a Korean car over a Japanese car.

Japs are the best, in order, Toyota, Subaru, Honda, Mazda, Nissan. Buy anything before a Nissan, they are the Ford of the American cars. Meaning they are the worst of the Jap cars. Not bad cars, but first to fail and the repair costs are far more than most of the others.

A Toyota will run 300,000 or 400,000 miles and more if you take care of it.

A Kia will start causing you problems before 100,000, and give you some very expensive repairs after before 200,000.
Get an Oldsmobile and never look back
@SW-User both are good

You can’t beat a Toyota Camry

I have a Toyota with almost 400,000 miles on it. A fuel pump and u joint are the only repairs I've made (totally under 400.00). Also, a lady in the US just clipped 1,000,000 miles in her 2014 Hyundai Elantra. I have one of those too with 160,000 and had ZERO issues.
