Yes, men are raped too.
I can't speak about crime investigations as far as male rapes go, but my experience of such investigations hasn't been positive.
I was accused of "making up" that I was sexually assaulted at school - because I didn't cry when giving my statement. What's the point of crying in that case??? He was the year below me... and I was more concerned about stopping him from further abusing others than I was about what he had done to me.
I was also told that another rape was my own fault for "dressing provocatively" - in a shirt and a pair of trousers.
Given my experiences, I don't think that men reporting rapes would do any better than I did. I mean, I was a minor in one example I gave - literally one of the most vulnerable people in society and they had me standing in the dark alone outside a locked door while they asked my parents if I would lie about being sexually assaulted at school.
If I lied... does that mean that the 29 other children who came after me lied about what they went through, too???
