For every child

or every child who cries at night

Alone with shame and fright

For every child who wants so much

To only feel a gentle touch

For the beaten child, who cries in pain

Whose tears run silent, like the rain

For the child used to satisfy lust

Who never learns to love or trust

For the child taken from her/his home

And made to feel so all alone

For the child whose home is just a shell

Where life becomes a living hell

For the child who smiles but cannot feel

Because of scars too deep to heal

For every child who yearns for love

I hope and pray to God above

To hear your cries and heal your pain

And give you back your life again

@foldedunfolding The best sign we are healing is being able to speak and reach out to other survivors. Thank you !!

@PoetryNEmotion Thank you for helping me find the words again .
@kodiac Hon, you are a blessing to me and to the world.
One day we will find relief,
Some days we are already at peace,
Some days back in hell
One day we'll be more healed than we are now
One day we'll feel safer....
In this world, in our souls and thoughts.

You have described the path we have had to walk and are still walking absolutely aptly.... I still admire your extraordinary talent to write such deeply touching and true poems about the cruel suffering you yourself and so many others had to experience and endure and still have to... and at the same time I wish from the bottom of my heart that you had no idea of all the things you write about.... I wish your soul and body were without scars, left behind by soulless monsters.
