Not today. *tw* poem

[image/video - please log in to see this content]

Some days,
I can pretend my body is mine.
But not today.

Today, your hands are on me again.
Your breath in my ear.
Your weight crushing the air from my chest.

I smell the room.
I taste the fear.
My nails curl,
remembering the skin they could not break.

I am back there—
helpless, choking,
screaming into silence.

And it’s you.
It’s always you.
Ripping through my skin
from the inside out.

Some days I win.
But not today

Everything is meaningless even the traumas it’s how u pick yourself up where the joy resides. But once you overcome life again becomes meaningless. The randomness of the wicked success and the down fall of the righteous is also meaningless. The struggle itself is the only place where hope dwells.

@kodiac there’s beauty in the struggle as everything else is just vanity and meaningless the highs n lows are live smoke that fade away. The struggle is what gives life purpose. The rich don’t obtain happiness and the poor don’t either. It’s the effort in the middle where one starts to live.

@userfawkes1105 So you see good in the suffering?
@kodiac only true happiness is found in its success everything else that would promise you happiness is like a vapor you cant grasp its a harsh truth of life not many are ready for and to taboo to be taught
@kodiac i think they are implying that you build strength through suffering and going through struggles maybe that is what they mean
kodiac · 22-25, M
@ExperienceDLT Yeah a fancy way of saying what doesn't kill you makes you stronger . I don't buy it .

@userfawkes1105 So someone that doesn't suffer can never find happiness?
@kodiac i would argue every one suffers from their own perspectives so i would like a refrence to such person to consider your theory. but yes i belive without the contrast of suffering to non it would not be posible to define happiness. it is the feeling of overcoming something thats where true happiness lies. all others are just temporary definitions. true happiness has to come after a struggle.
@kodiac i think anyone can find happiness but those that have suffered i dont know that you ever really get over it i think it is always still with you in some compacity

@userfawkes1105 What happens to the ones that don't overcome? Not everyone wins the battle. What if you have to fight so hard to overcome that even when you win there is nothing left ? What if the struggle becomes life itself and without it there is no purpose? If you've never known happiness would you even recognize it?

@ExperienceDLT i think you can choose to let those things linger so i agree but once you choose to let go gratitude and hope for a tomorrow is born. and laying down to rest the past is where the gift of happiness can be found. not saying letting go is easy but i do think its possible and thats the struggle i mean.
@userfawkes1105 im not sure if you really ever let go of your struggles i think you just learn to live with them
@kodiac your message is verry clear you admit defeat if you do it alone some battles are not ment to be won alone. but we some times choose to not reach out. im not saying its wrong every one has the will to do as they wish just think some struggles are desined for us to seek a higher power to set us free.
@ExperienceDLT i think hope comes from the external once you have none left. some struggles are designed to point you to a higher cosmic power. but most opt out of that and try it alone which is fine it works some times but when all hope is lost thats also a forgotten resource

@userfawkes1105 I understand your points, but it's so much more complicated than simply making choices . A higher power such as ? I even agree that some may hold on to the suffering, but some things are beyond personal control ,some things are ingrained into our very being . They are in places not accessible to us as we are now .
@userfawkes1105 i guess we all have different struggles and we all deal with them differently i suppose
@kodiac a higher power of choice like therapy or a wise family member of trust theres always more not giving up is key. for me personaly i turn to my designer but the point is any one outside of you that can help guide you out of the struggle. a lot of the times we struggle in lonlyness and sharing the stuggle in its self is liberating enough. as far as personal control my best weapon for that is fasting...if i can deny myself food for x amount of time what ever personal controll isues i have seem small in comparison. maybe a family member or a therapist could be a good start if you dont want to take a religious aproach which i respect. i think as humans we tend to be there for one another solitude and self help can limit us. but i can share that things i thought i would struggle with forever i dont anymore, its liberating and to be honest the power to over come did not come from within me i struggled with it on my own for years. anyway every one has their own path and who ever is reading me i wish you all liberation and freedom from what you thing will bind you forever. blessings and best of wishes to all.

@userfawkes1105 Maybe this is close to what you're getting at?[media=https://youtu.be/_HoMWsCMlLw]

@userfawkes1105 Thank you for your responses, as i usually do i felt this could be confrontational, but in the end i appreciate you thoughtful responses and advice . Thank you for changing my reaction and for actually helping me see that your responses were kindness .
@kodiac i guess its close to that video..but once i was there i humbled myself knowing i got myself there and humbled myself enough to know i wasnt doing a good job so i reached out to my creator. letting go of my pride was not easy and admiting i needed help was also not easy

"The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?"
— Jeremiah 17:9

"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
— Proverbs 3:5-6
@kodiac compromise can always be reached if all parties are willing to take the time to understand one anothers opinions
