why does rape bother people more than murder?

Because the victim survives, it’s kinda hard to be traumatised when you’re dead

Because it destroys the person which is worse than death.

I agree with canmyusernamebemyusername, being raped destroys you. Until you decide that you can’t let them win. You keep going and you create a wonderful life to replace those memories. Then your happiness destroys their motive- to control you sexually and mentally for years to come.
