i'm still shaking. i was watching tv in the dark and i hear someone wiggling the door knob. i ignored it for a moment bc im like no im imagining it.. then i heard a scratching like they were trying to pick the lock. dogs are barking. my first thought is it's one of my two exes bc a robber wouldn't be trying to pick the lock.
i freeze in place and called my roommate a dozen times but his phone is on silent. there's a gun in this room but i hate our front door. there's a massive window so if i went for the gun or to get my roommate upstairs they could see me through the window from the light from the lamp/tv/computer light.
a minute passes and i don't hear anything, so i crawl on the floor and press my ear on the door and it's still silent. i turn off the tv, unplug the lamp, and throw a blanket over the computer to minimize the light then book it upstairs
i get my roommate, he comes downstairs and gets the gun and goes around the back of the house. no one. he goes around the front...
bruh it's my cat. he got outside and was scratching on the door to get back in. the thought had crossed my mind in the midst of things because i know he taps on the doors in the house if theyre closed, but hes not allowed outside and i didn't see him slip out when i took out the trash an hour ago, i was like it can't be him....
what a punk
i've had him for two years and he's never slipped past me without me noticing. little homie doesn't know what a scare he gave me. i'm just glad he's okay lol
