What are some healthy ways to deal with trauma?

I guess basically the realization that you have to let it go in despite of how huge it was, if you want to feel like everyone else... as long as you let it define you, it will make you feel distant from others, so you have to tell it goodbye. It feels like something you can never come back from, something that can't be ignored, something that everyone you talk with should know about, but as long as you hold onto it like that, it will only keep hurting you. Let it hurt, but don't let it hurt your future prospects. Let it just be something that happened, and maybe when you find the right person, whether it's a romantic interest or close friend, let them know eventually down the line. Don't make it part of who you are, accept that it happened and move on as if it didn't, and get a therapist to talk it through with. If you don't like your therapist, get a new one until you find one that you like.
