Do you ever find yourself thinking about past trauma you thought you have gotten over?
Our brains can often behave strangely. Mine likes to go back(not flash back) and revisit things. Mine include:
--The slow and arduous unraveling of my marriage in the early 2000s;
--The death of my father following a series of illnesses in 2019;
--The loss of various pets throughout my life;
--Various tumultuous relationships and their fiery, trainwreck endings
I'm in therapy and have been for a while. I do not have PTSD. Counseling helps, but every so often, my brain does the equivalent of a greatest hits(as in hits to the body). It passes after a bit, but I can't say I enjoy it. Anyone else?
