According to Israel, 300 liters of fuel was very recently provided, but it was apparently not used by the hospital. Some IDF soldiers were photographed delivering fuel to a building (see below link).
The IDF has also offered to transport the babies elsewhere, with the medical staff saying this is not possible.
I would acknowledge that 300 liters from Israel is not enough, even if it were to be used. There is denial from both parties, with Hamas and medical staff saying there was no refusal (but that the fuel isn't enough) and Israel insisting that it was delivered to the hospital. Israel did say that it would deliver more fuel over time.
Hamas does use al-Shifa hospital. This is to the extent that they have a tunnel network underneath it, using them as command centers.
Yesterday, the E.U condemned Hamas for using civilians as "human shields."
The most likely scenario is that Hamas stole the fuel.
Hamas are cowards who use their civilian population in their "defense" strategy. They are embedded in civilian buildings, and in the civilian population. People should be outraged by this.
I have seen the photos of these babies, and I think it is deeply upsetting.
@SoulKey Level of failure? They literally went under the cover of night, the planners kept it hush hush from the Hamas soldiers until last minute to prevent it from leaking out according to one interrogation shown on youtube.

In international law there is a concept of proportionality. Proportionality is the ratio of the value of a military target to the number of likely civilian casualties in the event that military target is attacked. The anticipated incidental damage must not be excessive in relation to the expected military advantage. Al-Shifa hospital protects an extremely valuable military target underground, namely, the Hamas control center. High civilian casualties at Al-Shifa hospital are arguably not a war crime. The media don't report this. All they talk about is "Israel is killing vulnerable sick people, babies, and medical personel." Again, Al-Shifa Hospital is an extremely valuable target -- even high civilian casualties are permissible.
Why doesn't CNN report the depravity of Hamas locating its command center under a hospital?
You should ask Hamas murderers if it's really a good idea to hide underneath a hospital. From their point of view, of course, it is. A children's hospital if possible.
