Well it’s totally decentralized! Which NFT bros say like it’s a good thing, but that just means it’s unregulated and open to market manipulation by billionaires who make money by building it up and tanking the value.

I'd thought NFTs are banknotes resistant to mildew, but allegedly they are real items used for their nominal monetary value in the murky, disreputable, uncontrolled gambling in pretend money, that is "cryptocurrency".

At its core it's basically the same thing as bitcoin except each "coin" is unique and represents something. It's an attempt to impose scarcity in the digital domain using blockchain.
