Does anyone know what life was like before social media? [I Have Trouble Feeling Hopeful About My Future]

Normal, we played outdoors from after breakfast till supper time, then maybe got to watch a bit of black and white TV, if your family was lucky enough to even own one. Chatrooms were the playground or the schoolyard and lo and behold we even had home phones, some of us did anyway but most of us just talked to our friends face to face!
