what was a blessing in disguise?

not studying in Europe or USA, failing discrete math in my undergrad and getting rejected from certain programs etc, being insulted by my high school teachers and parents etc as it led me to my current path which is better than anything I could have imagined

I lost both the job, and a very nice girlfriend. But in the long run the opportunities that came after that? We are so worth my time
