Do you open the oven a bit when you broil?

I know I can google this… I want real opinions.

Ok… marking my own comment as “best” just to keep it at the top.

According to Google: Yes. Open was best in the old days. Now it’s up to the manufacturer. Hence, read the manual (mine says open).
