Do you open the oven a bit when you broil?

I know I can google this… I want real opinions.

What? How would that work? Why would you waste heat?
@Starcrossed Broiling works mostly by direct induction from the top element in electric ovens, not only by heat, it's mainly used for browning toppings and melting cheese fast, closing the door can quickly overheat the foods and cremate them much faster than you could rescue them.
