MartinII I was wondering that too!
I've never needed a gun, never wanted one.
In all the very many relatives, friends, work-mates and casual acquaintances I have known over the last half-century of adult life I can think of only two, apart from farmers, who have owned any fire-arms.
One goes clay-pigeon shooting. The other has a couple of antique guns he never fires apart from occasionally demonstrating the flintlock action (no charge in the breech, just a pinch of black powder in the firing-pan, creating literally "just a flash in the pan").
