Some cakes are better than others. It depends on what they are made of and how old they are.. I think cakes made of crisco and too much sugar are gross but a proper cake made with cream and butter and just mildly sweet is heavenly

same here, vast majority of cakes are boring with some exceptions such as cheese cake, which is called cake but really doesn't have the typical characteristics of a cake like fluffy sweet bread layers(the boring part) and icing layers.

I’m not fond of chocolate cake which surprises some people 😀 if someone gave me one I would eat it but it’s not something I would buy for me

I like chocolate cake and other flavors. Plain old white and yellow cake just doesn't seem worth eating. It's heavy frosting that I don't like.
