I have a will, but still want to do a trust for my son so that he doesn't have to go through probate. I am single and he is my only child ( he's almost 50 but still my child!) I just want it to be as easy as possible when I pass. I have even prepaid my funeral expenses. It gives me peace of mind.

@Mbingh01 A pre-paid funeral is a great gift for those who will be dealing with your affairs. I have one and am very pleased with the positive response from my closest family for that forward planning. It also means that the price is fixed at what I paid. Bereavement is inevitable, but such gestures at least remove some stress.

@FreddieUK My viking longship is under construction as we speak 🔥

Never mind. I missed a previous post. Unless I missed something else, the “signing over” refers to the future, not the present.

It’s another layer of caregiving. Bravo to you for that.

@Mamapolo2016 yes everything is taken care of but for some reason today it just felt hard. I don't know why.

Very wise move. Now you can get on with life without a concern about their future.

@FreddieUK I have a bad heart so I needed this peace of mind. I feel a lot better knowing everything is taken care of

Somehow I thought you had already done all of that. But I am very glad that it is all done now.
Cigarguy · 41-45, C
@4meAndyou my buddy has been working on it
