I’ve been around most of my favorite people today

If I didn’t see them, I talked to them.

But it made me anxious in a weird way.
I didn’t know what to say. Couldn’t keep up with conversations. Couldn’t be funny or entertaining. Kept saying the wrong things or not saying the right ones.

I end this day feeling empty and hollow.

It would be insane to expect perfect, no matter the circumstances, from someone who is dealing with so much pain, inner and physical.

Sometimes it is better not to be entertaining. Loving and being loved is is all the meaning this world truly needs. Everything else is unnecessary.

And even if we both were, why does it matter?

Participating in society makes it necessary to create masks. Everyone does it. But it is so very important not to make others feel pressured to it. Also, I don't think we should have to do it at home. It is very cruel. I am tad more aggressive than you and people worry about the implications of that enough to leave me when I say it. Being too kind, too thoughtful has a horrible cost.

But I have to admit it takes a great deal of wisdom to be able to navigate that peacefully. Just don't do it at the expense of your own wellness please. Tell them to leave or to shup up sometimes.

It really does feel good to tell people to stfu.
