@Turtlepower ugh. Alright, settle in.
I had half a smoothie, guacamole with olive oil chips, leftover three bean soup with brown rice, then all of this which was a quinoa and flax crackers, carrots, pistachios, fruit spread, ricotta, pico, and pickled green beans. Then a rice cake, kale chips and a piece of chicken, then two more rice cakes but I put cashew butter on one and jam on the other to make like a sandwich, and finally another carrot.

@itsok so while you made it sound like a binge day you actually ate very healthy compared to like 99% of Americans and played a fun game while you were at it. You=winning. I spent half my day in the ER because my mom fell this morning :/ I want to play Mario kart now :p

@Turtlepower I’m so sorry to hear about your mom. How is she now? Mario Kart was a lot of fun, I was playing with my nephew on a Wii. We used to play all the time more than a decade ago.

@itsok Thanks. She has a compression fracture of her first lumbar. She's probably going to have to go to a rehab facility for a couple of weeks before we can take her at my house. I'd take her right away but I'm not sure we could give her the same level of care without risking further injury

@itsok I could do without the kale but that sounds pretty good anyways. I do flaxseed quite frequently too

@Turtlepower have you had it in a smoothie? It doesn’t seem to give much taste in there, but it can give an unpleasant texture if it doesn’t get blended well enough. Spinach is easier but it doesn’t last long enough in the fridge for me so I don’t buy it

@itsok spinach does go bad pretty quick but you could probably pull off frozen but I'd understand why you wouldn't. I've never had Kale in a smoothie though. I usually go with frozen fruits, yogurt and flaxseed/chia seeds

@Turtlepower have you ever tried avocado in one? I’ve heard some people swap out the banana for avocado and it gives the same creamy texture

@itsok I haven't but that would totally work. Avocado is so risky because of ripeness timing but I could see that working

@Turtlepower ohhh you know that reminds me that you can buy frozen avocado chunks. Sometimes I’ll just get the cups of avocado because they last a long time in the fridge if I’m worried I’ll let my avocados go bad
