The only Gallagher I know of is Rory G. (the blues rocker) who passed away when i was still a child.

@helenS Maybe it's one of the Oasis brothers. I hate that band.
helenS · 36-40, F
@caesar7 Never heard of them. Britpop perhaps?

@helenS Of course you did. You are not missing much. They had a few hits on the radio!! I think one of them is called "Wonderwall"

@caesar7 I'm afraid I know more names of musicians from the 1940s than from the 1990s and beyond.
helenS, also known as Ms Nostalgia.

@helenS my father in law passed away on the same ward Rory died on.

@OldBrit I'm sorry for your loss 🙁

@helenS it was a long time ago now.

I got to see Rory's famous guitar very close up once.

@OldBrit I listen to his early 70s albums occasionally. Good stuff, although there is a certain "sameness" to the music.

@helenS Irish Tour was the one I remember buying.

@OldBrit Very good album; I think Rory preferred playing to a live audience over studio work anytime.
OldBrit · 61-69, M
@helenS where he was clearly the best
helenS · 36-40, F
@OldBrit Maybe he needed an audience to get the energy needed for the kind of music he wanted to play?
OldBrit · 61-69, M
@helenS probably. But like Dr Feelgood Stupidity was by far their best
helenS · 36-40, F
@OldBrit Never heard of that one – listening to the album now. Long live Apple Music!

@OldBrit Very blues-y.
