Been feeling like such a failure today.

Imagine hugging the side of you that hates you - your analytical side probably needs your own acceptance.. and a hug. Tell yourself, I don't like myself today, but I sure know I am striving to better myself every day, and remember all the concrete actions you took in self-improvement lately. Most importantly, keep doing them and add new improvement things with time in every area of life you feel that you need to balance. Maybe try bullet-journaling? Seeing how much you are already doing will help you relax your thoughts :)
