A serious question…

Say you have neighbors with whom you’re friendly and have more than a nodding acquaintance; whom you trust.

If one day you saw them being taken away by the authorities, would you go out to ask what was going on ?

Would you check and see if the neighbors needed you to call anyone on their behalf ?

Or would you close your blinds and assume the neighbors were being treated fairly and according to the law ?

And that getting involved would only cause you problems ?

🥺

I would go out there and check on them. Just this morning i was about to pull out of my driveway to head to work and a fire truck blocked me in it was about 530 am still dark out, my husband was walking me to my car so i said uh oh someone called an ambulance the fire truck usually shows up 1st. So they hopped off the truck and asked us are we the ones who called? We said no, hubby asked which address they were looking for, they told him and he pointed them 2 houses down. I went right over there, its an elderly lady we always speak, shes a new neighbor i asked if i could call someone or lock up the house for her or anything. Theres a lockbox on the side of my house where i leave money for the yard workers. I waited until she was loaded up and they pulled away i locked up left a note on the door telling her she can retrieve the key from me with address, my name and number,so If im not home call me and i will leave it in the lockbox and give her a code to retrieve it. I also said if she needed a ride from the hospital my husband and i would make sge that she gets back home.
@AngelUnforgiven You sound like awesome neighbors.
