Do people in the military (especially army) see civilians as naive?

I get the impression that military people have experienced so much more than the rest of us that they see everything we take for granted and everything we don’t know. I know they don’t like to toot their horn about it though.

They certainly must do. They are all drilled in the state of world affairs. They know so much more than us mere civilians

@InvaderNice If we were all taught the truth then we would be as knowledgeable as the armed forces. But for the most part, we civilians are kept ignorant supposedly for our own sanity. Could we handle the truth? The prevalence of PTSD would suggest not.
