Life story......

So my youngest daughter tells me she hasn't went and done grocery shopping in almost 2 months because she had no time. So I called my second daughter and asked if she would come with me to go buy some food...

700$ later, i arrived at my kid's place with all the bags... she rarely shows any appreciation for gifts, but this time i think is the first time i see her react. She was really happy. Shes got a fridge full of veggies, meat, and all she needs for breakfast and for snacks 😀

I did this also quite a few times for my second daughter... if they need anything, they know Im here for them.and always will. I could never let any of my children go without food or any vital needs

❤️

Does she need help setting priorities and managing responsibilities?
Getting food is pretty important. Hopefully she isn't ignoring other important aspects of life/adulthood: bills, self care, etc.

@easterniowegin Unlikely and an unnecessary comment.

@Purplerain78 Why do you say unlikely? 2 months w/o grocery shopping is derelict. Seriously.

I have young adult children, I know how they can be. Why do you tell me it is unnecessary? Bc difficult convos should be avoided? Why? So that another 2months or more may pass?

Young adults need support, not to be coddled.
@easterniowegin no she justbworks a lot as an CNA and she had a few days off already taken by important stuf, ahe ate but mistly always ylshe same things.
@easterniowegin Spoken like a typical heartless iowan, you're one of the reasons why I hate this state so much.

@NativePortlander1970 what exactly was heartless about my post? Do you have difficulty articulating your emotions? Such emotional immaturity serves no benefit here beyond your ad hominem attacks.

Was a deeper evaluation of the situation not warranted? This situation needed more than a hug.

Lmao. Glad to be the inspiration for you to leave/avoid iowa.

@NativePortlander1970 I am a her 😞
@easterniowegin my daughters are very well behaved and serious in life. You dont know them. They manage their money very well and never had a late payment on anything. Maybe your children did tjough idk but i raised my kids to be self-aware when it comes to money and principal values. I Never said she did not buy groceries out of having no money or not managing, but because she had NO time. There is a big difference sir. Maybe if you had her schedule and lived in a city where everything closes at 8pm when you work till 11pm, youd understand. But thank you for judging without knowing anything.. have a great evening 😀

@SimplyMeChantou i merely asked the question...there was zero judgment, only legitimate concern. Evidently asking for more info about the situation was crossing a line?!

I obviously missed the intention of the post. Allow me to step back into line:

You're such a good mom. Well done. 👏👏

See that wasnt hard, right? Women aren't difficult to get along with. Just give them what they want - - attention, and only the kind of attention they are seeking.
@SAHgoddess wasnt looking for attention, but ok

Eh. Attention comes in many different forms. We share info all the time - for validation and assurance. He just crossed the line, as he said, and asked too many questions when he should have just validated.
