I don't think I can do spicy food anymore. Horrendous heartburn.

Went with a friend to try this one hot chicken place he always raves about. Ordered a sandwich medium temperature it tasted great but the heartburn is miserable.

I have heartburn when I don’t eat enough veggies, especially green veggies. It happened a couple times in the past 10 days so I started eating huge salads and putting a lot more veggies in the dishes that I made. No more heartburn and inflammation when that happens. And eating spicy food like curries does not trigger inflammation as long as I do this.

@cherokeepatti I should have done that. Maybe switched my side to something lighter.

@deepblacknothingness I am picky about where and what I eat in restaurants. Most of them use inflammatory oils to cook foods in, white bread is so devoid of nutrients that it is also inflammatory, and who knows what all is in the meats. I can eat spicy Thai foods like curries that have coconut milk in them, brown rice instead of white rice and. And some veggies for a side, I don’t eat the spring rolls because they have wheat (I can’t have wheat) so avoid the oils in them as well.

If I make something spicy at home I will balance it by having a lot of veggies in a large salad or steamed broccoli, that sort of thing.

That happens to me like one out of five times. It's still worth it to me.

What does heartburn got to do with spicy food
Chug on some milk and then do a headstand or something like that
