Reading this made me a little sad. It really sounds like you had a gift, but life doesn't always give people the support or stability they need at that age. Thank you for sharing this tho. Sometimes hearing someone else's "what if" is exactly what reminds people to show up for the kids in their lives. My 10yr old nephew has just started playing soccer and I'm so grateful his parents are all in. I hope he always has that kind of support behind him.

I did, but like you said, life didn't give me the support or stability, it was super negative even at home, my parents talking down on it and encouraging anyway they could to make me stop with insults, mockery & hate, I really think cause they didn't accomplish much they internally didn't want me to either,
I realized as I got older they were real live haters.
That's cool your lil nephew is playing, make sure you tell him you're proud of him,
cause young minds need it the most since they are like sponges absorbing everything around them, good or bad.
