Back then where ever the f*ck u were that's all you knew...nowadays you can look up every aspect of life on the internet a continent away...worlds much more connected...

but all it takes is the power to go out and we're back to the stone age.

Depends on where you are. Solar panels can be a game changer.
It also fascinates me how you can have a local blackout but you can still reach the internet through data on your phone. There's a couple living in Spain that have solars and Starlink and when that huge blackout appeared they didn't even know about it until they tried to reach their friends. 😅 Perfectly off-grid.

I understand, What I mean is let's say the internet somehow disappeared forever, it would be a whole different world again.
