Why can't men read all of someone's profile?

Some things are dangerous not to assume. If a guy coming up to me has a knife out and is focused with a predatory look, I assume he means me harm. It is possible but unlikely I am wrong and he just wants to ask directions. It would be foolish however not to assume ill intent. When there is overwhelming, though possibly inconclusive evidence, it is better to make some assumptions.
