Whats the best life advice/motto You ever heard/were told?

"everyone is not your friend" -my grandmother. and she's right. i learned to tell the difference most definitely.
among many other things. also, "question everything, you don't understand, or seems wrong to you"

well one of the best advice/motto I ever received was from my Granny when I was a child..
She said that life always had ups and downs and you always had to learn to take the rough with the smooth..
