Do you feel you register with one personality type or another?

@Winterwanderer: That's not really what introverted means either. That's just one type of introversion.

The differing factor is whether expression and focus is on the external or internal. Are you focused on the perceptions of outsiders and find solace in sharing experiences with them and express yourself through displays of activity to those around you or do you focus inward and find solace in your own mind and make your own goals for yourself with little regard for the opinions of those around you? This is also a thing that cannot be easily answered by anyone but the subject themselves.

@Dewms: Haha, it's an interesting thing! Human social interaction is fascinating. I used to be a total introvert in my younger days but I've gradually transitioned into something of an ambivert over time. Elements of both introversion and extroversion that are roughly balanced, though I trend slightly toward introversion.

I empathize with you there @DeadPirateDude, I used to be exclusively introverted (in your sense of the word), but now I enjoy both internal & external perceptions, expressions, feelings, judgements, & even sensations sometimes.

I have a good balance between the amount I think & feel, I enjoy art, poetry, science, & math, all for many different reasons.

I've fashioned calling myself an omnivert lately as well.
