will i ever leave a mark in this world?

I am always scared from the dying without accomplishing anything to the world.
scared if I am just an insignificant worm!
I need to matter to the world.
I feel empty and dead inside when I encounter this kind of depression!

Are you familiar with Ralph Waldo Emerson's definition of success from the mid-1800s? It is as true today as it was then, and something you can do now.

To laugh
often and much,
to win respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children;
to earn the appreciation of honest critics

to appreciate beauty;

to leave the world a bit better
whether by a healthy child,
a garden patch, or a
redeemed social condition;
