What is the thought women think of when they say they need closure?

I had a kind of relationship dont ask it went from good to absolute nightmare that was 3 years ago she is married now but pmd me about 6 months ago all apologetic and wanted closure i was gobsmacked but gave her what she wanted and wished her a happy life

@MikefromEP: Not sure she just said she was a bit naive and was really sorry it didnt work out i had moved on and the pm came out of the blue it might be to do with their conscience
