Should murderers and other brutal criminals be executed?

If you remove these people from society then you provide a deterrent to others as most would be afraid to die themselves and also remove the risk of them causing any further harm, ref Ted Bundy’s escape and subsequent murders. I’d also highlight that executing ‘proven beyond doubt’ murderers is not society sinking to the same depths as them, this is a partial rectification of a person who has gone wrong in order to assist in the provision of a safe society for others to live in.

This is not an angry ‘must kill’ post, and is not an ‘eye for an eye’ style post, perfectly calm and rational comment.
