Knowledge, and recognizing the negatives, is the only way to turn things around. Ignorance may be blissful, but it doesn't help anyone. 😊

I like my life as it is. I know enough to be safe in the world, but not so much that I live with fear and grief.
I know my kids tend to keep things from me, because they don't want me worrying. It's hard to make them understand that there are things I actually don't need or even want to know, but there are things that as a parent, I should know. So now I ask specific questions, because once asked they won't lie. Not saying anything and lying are different. One is protecting me, the other is betraying me.
