he was a misogynist.I hate that about him

@hopefuldreamer: not true, lady Macbeth pulled ALL the strings.. the murder would never had happened if she did not question Macbeths manhood when he tried to back out and stay loyal to his king.. Shakespeare gave her character power over a man, power that exists in and is exercised often in reality as well as fiction.

And all the more that he chooses to express such an idea in a time where women were much more considered insubordinate.

@xSharp: I don't care about that.It was his statement women are inferior to men.Explain that?

That doesn't imply misogyny, that just implies he thinks men are greater, he never said anything about hating them (aka misogyny). Plus, what statement are you even talking about? If anything, he painted women as they were in that period of time, when they weren't allowed as much education & were literally less intelligent (and if nothing else, afraid to defy convention).

@hopefuldreamer: you seem to have an inferiority complex, no offense most radical feminists do. the words of one person does not dictate the capabilities of an entire gender and if you believe that they do then perhaps you as an individual are inferior however many women are not, many women like Boudica were subservient to their husbands yet have led men into battle simply because her husband had already been murdered by romans. you see it could be argued that women are superior in the sense that they accepted their place and yet made an enormous impact on history despite what feminists perceive as a patriarchy. men and women compliment each other, one literally cannot exist without the other they are each half of one whole as my culture used to teach, until our culture was outlawed and we were forcibly converted to christianity which teaches that women were made from men simply to keep them company..
