Do you have people in your past whose place is nearly impossible to fill by anyone new in your life?

A broken heart can indeed be always mended.
But some people have such huge relations with people in their past, and it changes them in such a way that no one else stands a chance of ever getting that close.

@Aidolovemostofyourthoughts: I agree. But, isn't that a choice we make though? We do not allow another person to take that place cuz we are scared of what might happen ? Or we do not want to go through that experience again. Or maybe we just don't want another person taking that place. It's just something I've been thinking about.

@TheFlash: Yes its a choice we make. But who does this choice hurt the most? The person closing off to new people, right? And the second person they hurt is the person who wants to get that close to them.
But fair enough, logic has a lesser role in these things.

The person closing themselves off to new people, yes. They are always hurt the most. The second time, their actions hurt them as well though, along with the one trying to get close.
Haha yeah, this is a thing for the heart. And the heart can be real stubborn at times!
