Grounded in Truth: If we don't have truth in this world, we don't have anything.

Without truth, love gets twisted. Trust gets broken. Hope gets stolen.

But WITH truth? We have Jesus. And we have freedom. It's just like the Bible says.... "the truth shall set you free. And if it's set you free, you are free indeed!"

"If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:32

John 14:6, Jesus states, "I am the way, the truth, and the life."

Here, knowing the truth means being united with Christ through salvation, and therefore set free from the guilt, power, and penalty of sin. How??? 👇👇👇

Romans 8:1: "There is therefore, no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus"

What This Means

The word for condemnation (katakrima) is a courtroom term. It means a guilty verdict, a sentence, or a punishment. For believers, Jesus Christ already took that punishment on Himself.

I sure thank God that my Salvation is not based on perfection! That verse means, if you have received Jesus into your heart and life as your Savior, your standing before God is anchored in your union with Christ....NOT your ability to be FLAW-FREE every day.

MY DAD COULD ALWAYS BE TRUSTED
My dad was my hero when I was a kid. He raised me with a burning lasting impression. The best dad anybody could have had. What he taught me was far more valuable to me than gold...even at that 4.

He didn't even have to say it. He lived it, and that's why my dad is my hero. He never told a lie in his whole life. Never. He was known in the neighborhood as Honest John. Even today, anyone practicing that precious trait of honesty, truth, and integrity, is #1 in my book. That is a very rare find in today's society. It means all the world to me.

John 16:13 "When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth."

That's the Holy Spirit in YOU right now, if you are in Christ.
Helping you discern. Helping you see clearly, and helping you protect your heart. He's the Spirit of Truth living in us. We're not doing this alone.

Maybe you've been lied to, or told "trust me", when your spirit knows better. I don't have all the gifts of the Spirit and the Bible talks about that. The Holy Spirit gives different gifts to each believer. He gives as He chooses. We don't choose our own gifts. I was blessed enough to have the spirit of discernment. I know some won't probably understand that, but maybe someday you will, as you read your bible, but my spirit of discernment is super strong.

It's been that way since I was a little kid, and it's never been wrong. Even as small as I was as a child, I always knew when someone was lying to me. And which people were SAFE...whether that was upon first meeting them, or I had known them a while. And as far as relatives were concerned, again, whether I was meeting them for the first time or I had known them a while, I knew exactly what kind of spirit they had even though they smiled and acted nice. The Spirit cannot be fooled. It's not that I was wise, but Jesus would tell me. It was at first spiritual connection that did it. A spiritual intuition.

I was never wrong. God always tells me when somebody's lying or trying to deceive me. He always does. I know another lady online here that has that same gift.

I remember my mother-in-law saying the same thing, and I saw the same was true in her, and the evidence of it. Her kids knew better than to even test it. 🤭 They found that out real quick. Needless to say, they were very well-mannered, good kids. 😂 She really had that spirit of discernment gift. I'm not sure what other gifts of the Holy Spirit she had, but I do know she had that one, and it was very strong. I just know remember two other gifts she had. One was the gift of encouragement and the other of teaching. And once God tells you the truth, there's just no way of questioning that. That's how strong it is.

Maybe you're tired of trying to figure out what is real and what is not. There is a way to know it. Spirit knows Spirit, I tell you. One time the Holy Spirit told me a cop would be coming to my door with bad news and it happened just that way. That's why I didn't go to bed right away. I was waiting and then about 10 minutes later he showed up at my door.

Another time the Holy Spirit told me my son-in-law was trying to cheat me and scam me. That came true as well. I even went to the police and told them what he's up to, pulling a confidence scam on me, and they wouldn't believe me. Said I had no proof. I even went to an attorney to try to get help and they wouldn't help me. They just told me he was a sociopath and I had no evidence. And when I went to court over it that day they took my house away from me, even the judge wouldn't listen to me. It was Satan on all sides. My own brother-in-law.

I called an emergency meeting with the family, except for my son-in-law...sat them down, and said look he's trying to take my house away and they said 'oh mom come on! He would never do that. Never!' Yeah well, it sure happened, and I lost my 2-story house, just like that. And that's not because I was stupid. That was because in his sneaky little way, he filed bankruptcy on my house because at the time, he had been buying it off me, contract for deed. So what he did was put a notice in a little neighborhood newspaper, where he knew I wouldn't see it and filed bankruptcy on me, and I lost the house.

The Holy Spirit will speak to your heart, too, if your life is grounded in Christ. Here's why.

God sees it. He really does and he sees you. And He gave you tools:
One, is His Word to guide you. Another is your mind to use. The Holy Spirit is who helps you discern the truth...or NOT. You know whether someone is trying to trick you or not, real quick. But hear this:

GOD'S WORD TELLS YOU THE TRUTH

Proverbs 14:15 "The simple believes anything, but the prudent give thought to their steps."

Now be careful here because being wise does not mean being suspicious of everyone. It means being thoughtful instead of gullible. Careful instead of careless. And grounded in Truth, instead of easily influenced.

A trusting heart is a beautiful thing...BUT, a discerning heart is a protected one.

And here's our blessed hope: Jesus is coming back!! He doesn't break His promises! Fifty-three years walking with him each day, proved that!! Look at this:

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 - "For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command... and we who are alive... will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air."

Titus 2:13 - "Waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ."

Every lie exposed
Every broken trust.
Every tear.
He's gonna make it all right.

And we'll be with the Truth Himself, face to face.

REAL Truth, lasts! THAT'S JESUS and us, in Heaven.
No matter who you are, the Bible confirms that the Truth sets us FREE. John 8:32. And who is truth again? None other than Jesus. The way, the truth, and the life. And no man comes to God the Father except through his son, Jesus Christ.
Truth points people to Jesus.

So let's keep watching, keep praying, and stay grounded in Truth.

Revelation 22:20 - "Surely I am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
