Hot take on high school relatonships

Okay quick theory, i see people getting with people and breaking up with the same few people alot. does anyone else agree with me on the consensus that teens have an over-reliance problem? like, they say things like "he/she's mine" "my world" "the air i breathe" and stupid shit like that. like, fuck if you're obsessed and addicted to dating why not just say it, yknow? if anyone has any corrections to my theory, feel free to make em. I'm not an asshole as far as i know
